Allegations declined as Bishop Eddie Long photos appear

Photos of Bishop Eddie Long have surfaced that were allegedly sent to the men by whom he is being sued. Long is the head pastor of the 24,000 member New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The Bishop Long scandal presently unfolding concerns three young men to which Long was a mentor. Bishop Eddie Long allegedly adjoined in sexual acts with these boys, which is odd because Bishop Long has promoted anti-homosexual messages to the point that he has been labeled a bigot.

Not long after the lawsuit was filed against Eddie Long, photos began surfacing of the pastor, as outlined by Columbia Broadcasting System. The photos are definitely of Bishop Long. They were allegedly sent by him to the boys suing him. Several of the Bishop Eddie Long pictures are of Long in tight-fitting workout clothes. Even the plaintiffs’ lawyer claims the pictures in question are innocent. The content is unknown, but it is known Long emailed the plaintiffs.

The litigation gets a 4th

There were initially two men suing Long. According to CNN, you will find now four. All allege the exact same thing. Long is supposed to have used his position of power to coerce the men into sex. All four young men come from severely disadvantaged programs, and also allege Long used his position as a benefactor also as a high-profile clergyman. Long maintains his innocence. He has fervently denied all allegations. The lawsuit is especially puzzling, as Bishop Long has a history of preaching a staunch anti-homosexual message. He has waxed stentorian about the issue before. He even led a march for a ban on very same sex marriages.

It will wait until his day in the court

The truth of the allegations awaits the decision of the court. The church Bishop Long ministers to, is a 24,000 member mega-church. His sermons on Sunday routinely draw 10,000 members or more.
